In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL) baseball squad triumphed over the host Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL), by a final score of 9-3.
With the win, Elk Grove upgrades its record to 9-24 on the season. The Grenadiers travel to Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL) to battle the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 29. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 24-10. Glenbrook North won 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL)
With the defeat, Maine South falls to 12-24 on the season.
