Westwood Rebels (Sloan, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Alta-Aurelia Warriors (Alta, IA), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Kingsley-Pierson for a Western Valley challenge on Tuesday, May 28. Westwood will face a Panthers squad coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to West Lyon (Inwood, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Alta-Aurelia falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA) to face the Westerners in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 25. The Westerners enter the challenge with a record of 2-0.
