Oskaloosa Indians (Oskaloosa, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Maquoketa Cardinals (Maquoketa, IA), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Norwalk for a Little Hawkeye challenge on Wednesday, May 29.

With the loss, Maquoketa falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Marion (Marion, IA) to battle the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 28. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 4-0.
