Clearwater Indians (Clearwater, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Clay Center Tigers (Clay Center, KS), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 20-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eudora for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 27. Clearwater will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 9-2 non-league win over Ottawa (Ottawa, KS). The Cardinals record now stands at 18-2.

With the loss, Clay Center falls to 9-5 on the campaign.
