The McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) softball the visiting Westfield Bulldogs (Chantilly, VA), 5-2 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Highlanders (17-5) will now prepare for their bout against Langley (McLean, VA). The Saxons go into the non-league bout with a 14-8 record. In their last bout, Langley held off South Lakes (Reston, VA), 2-0, in a non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 1-7 record.
