Virginia High School Softball - Southampton bounces Petersburg

May 26, 2023: Courtland, VA 23837

Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Petersburg Crimson Wave (Petersburg, VA), 31-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to York for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 30. Southampton will face a Falcons squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 15-6.

With the loss, Petersburg moves to 5-14 on the season.
