Maine High School Softball - Cape Elizabeth holds off Lake Region

Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME), 4-2 in a league challenge.
The Capers now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Yarmouth for a Class B South challenge on Tuesday, May 31. Cape Elizabeth will face a Clippers squad coming off a 25-4 league loss to Wells (Wells, ME). The Clippers record now stands at 1-11.
With the loss, Lake Region falls to 10-6 on the campaign.
