The Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA) softball the host Fife Trojans (Fife, WA), 8-4 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Cougars (14-4) will now prepare for their bout against Othello (Othello, WA). The Huskies go into the non-league bout with a 23-1 record. In their last bout, Othello held off West Valley (Spokane, WA), 6-0, in a non-league bout.
The Trojans now possess a 17-7 record. They play next when they travel to Shadle Park for a non-league bout on Friday, May 27. Fife will confront a Highlanders squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls, WA). The Highlanders record now stands at 20-2.
