Lakeside Eagles (Nine Mile Falls, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Zillah Leopards (Zillah, WA), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 16-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eatonville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 28. Lakeside will battle a Cruisers squad coming off a 11-8 non-league win over Castle Rock (Castle Rock, WA). The Cruisers record now stands at 21-3.

With the loss, Zillah falls to 15-4 on the campaign.
