In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Skaneateles Lakers (Skaneateles, NY) baseball squad edged the host Cortland Purple Tigers (Cortland, NY), by a final score of 10-9.

With the win, Skaneateles upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Lakers travel to Cazenovia (Cazenovia, NY) to encounter the Lakers in a Section 3 Liberty challenge on Monday, May 29. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 18-3. Cazenovia won 10-1 in their recent league challenge against Westhill (Syracuse, NY)

With the defeat, Cortland falls to 15-7 on the season.
