The Jefferson Yellowjackets softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Essex Trojans to 8 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Jefferson moves its record to 1-6 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Le Mars (Le Mars, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a game on Tuesday, May 30. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 3-0. Le Mars won 15-7 in their recent non-league game against Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA)
