Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) and the host Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME), witnessed Ellsworth's softball squad prevail over Foxcroft Academy by a count of 17-2.

The Eagles now sport a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mount Desert Island for a Class B North match on Wednesday, June 1. Ellsworth will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME). The Trojans record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Foxcroft Academy moves to 3-9 on the season. The Ponies travel to Nokomis (Newport, ME) to meet the Warriors in a Class B North match on Tuesday, May 31. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 8-1. Nokomis won 2-0 in their recent league match against Lawrence (Fairfield, ME)
