University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Roeper Roughriders (Birmingham, MI), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Knights face the Shrine Catholic Knights (Royal Oak, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 30. University Liggett will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Southfield Christian (Southfield, MI).

The Roughriders now have a 8-6 record.
