The Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT) softball routed the host Hartford Public Owls (Hartford, CT), 17-1 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Hawks (19-3) will now prepare for their bout against Haddam-Killingworth (Higganum, CT). The Cougars go into the non-league bout with a 16-7 record. In their last bout, Haddam-Killingworth toppled Kaynor RVT (Waterbury, CT), 9-0, in a non-league bout.
The Owls now possess a 2-6 record.
