California High School Baseball - Cardinal Newman held off by Acalanes

Acalanes Dons (Lafayette, CA) fans left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Cardinal Newman Cardinals (Santa Rosa, CA), 4-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Acalanes advances its record to 16-10 on the season. The Dons host Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league match on Saturday, May 31. The Cougars come into the match with a record of 16-12. Rancho Cotate won 6-1 in their recent non-league match against Tamalpais (Mill Valley, CA)

The Cardinals now have a 18-11 record.
