Maine High School Baseball - Foxcroft Academy nips Ellsworth

The Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) baseball got by the visiting Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME), 5-4 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Ponies now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host George Stevens Academy for a Class C North challenge on Thursday, May 29. Foxcroft Academy will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 10-2 league win over Sumner (East Sullivan, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 4-9.
With the defeat, Ellsworth drops to 11-5 on the year. The Eagles travel to Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME) to clash with the Trojans in a Class B North challenge on Tuesday, June 3. The Trojans go into the challenge with a record of 5-8.
