The Grundy Center Spartans triumphed over the host Oelwein Huskies softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans meet the South Hardin Tigers (Eldora, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - West challenge, on Tuesday, June 3. Grundy Center will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Kee (Lansing, IA).
The Huskies (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Jesup (Jesup, IA). The J-Hawks enter the North Iowa Cedar - East challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Jesup overcame South Hardin (Eldora, IA), 4-3, in a non-league challenge.
