The Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils triumphed over the host Twin Cedars Sabers softball squad by a count of 13-3 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Blue Devils meet the East Union Eagles (Afton, IA) in a Pride of Iowa challenge, on Thursday, May 29. Martensdale-St. Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 8-7 league loss to Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA).
The Sabers (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mormon Trail (Garden Grove, IA). The Saints enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Mormon Trail was routed by Lamoni (Lamoni, IA), 16-4, in a league challenge.
