Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Apponequet Regional Lakers (Lakeville, MA) and the host Middleborough Sachems (Middleborough, MA), witnessed Apponequet Regional's softball squad tip Middleborough by a count of 3-2.
The Lakers now sport a 18-4 record.
With the loss, Middleborough moves to 13-6 on the season. The Sachems host Notre Dame Academy (Hingham, MA) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Friday, May 31. The Cougars go into the match with a record of 9-5. Notre Dame Academy lost 9-5 in their recent non-league match against Milton (Milton, MA)
