New York High School Softball - Marcellus nudges Notre Dame

Marcellus Mustangs (Marcellus, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Notre Dame Jugglers (Utica, NY), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 19-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Susquehanna Valley for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 31. Marcellus will battle a Sabers squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Edison (Elmira Heights, NY). The Sabers record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Notre Dame falls to 15-6 on the campaign.
