In Thursday's non-league match, the host Morris Catholic Crusaders softball team scored a tight 5-4 win over the Pope John XXIII .
The Crusaders (15-10) will now prepare for their match against Mount St. Dominic Academy (Caldwell, NJ). The Lions come into the non-league match with a 20-3 record. In their last match, Mount St. Dominic Academy nipped Mount St. Mary Academy (Watchung, NJ), 11-3, in a non-league match.
