The Sylmar Spartans got by the visiting Arleta Mustangs softball squad by a count of 12-11 in Monday's non-league battle.

The Spartans (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Canoga Park (Canoga Park, CA). The Hunters enter the Valley Mission outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Canoga Park was tipped by San Fernando (San Fernando, CA), 23-0, in a league outing.

The Mustangs (1-2) will now prepare for their outing against Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA). The Dons enter the East Valley outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Verdugo Hills tipped North Hollywood (North Hollywood, CA), 12-2, in a league outing.
