North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI) followers exited the stadium content Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the host Classical Purples (Providence, RI), 18-4 in a league battle.

The Northmen now have a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Cranston East for a Division 3 battle on Friday, May 6. North Smithfield will clash with a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 14-0 league win over North Providence (North Providence, RI). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 6-1.

In their next game, the Purples clash with the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a Division 3 battle, on Saturday, May 7. Classical will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Chieftains come into the battle with a 5-0 record after their 16-6 league win over Coventry (Coventry, RI).
