Next, the Warriors confront the Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Thursday, May 5. Nansemond River will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 9-0 league loss to Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA).

The Hornets now have a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Windsor for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Deep Creek will confront a Dukes team coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Nandua (Onley, VA). The Dukes record now stands at 2-5.
