St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Elmwood Park Tigers (Elmwood Park, IL), 4-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) in a Metro Suburban challenge, on Thursday, May 5. St. Francis will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Fightin' Irish enter the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 9-0 league win over St. Edward (Elgin, IL).

The Tigers now have a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wheaton Academy for a Metro Suburban challenge on Thursday, May 5. Elmwood Park will confront a Warriors team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 9-5.
