Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY), 22-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Beacon for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12.

With the loss, Cornwall Central falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Warwick (Warwick, NY) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 4. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Warwick won 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY)
