Mountain Brook Spartans (Birmingham, AL) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Pinson Valley Indians (Pinson, AL), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Homewood Patriots (Homewood, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 5. Mountain Brook will attempt to better on its 22-2 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 18-4 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Shades Valley (Birmingham, AL).

The Indians now have a 9-11 record.
