Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Atlee Raiders (Mechanicsville, VA), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 15-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Colonial Forge for a Commonwealth challenge on Friday, May 6. Riverbend will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 7-3 league loss to Mountain View (Stafford, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Atlee falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Raiders host Henrico (Richmond, VA) to battle the Warriors in a Capital challenge on Wednesday, May 4. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 0-6.
