Polson Pirates (Polson, MT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Glacier Wolfpack (Kalispell, MT), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Flathead for a non-league game on Tuesday, May 10.

In their next game, the Wolfpack clash with the Big Sky Eagles (Missoula, MT) in a AA Western game, on Thursday, May 5. Glacier will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 5-9 record after their 12-1 league win over Hellgate (Missoula, MT).
