In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL), by a margin of 12-2.
With the triumph, Lincoln moves its record to 14-12 on the year. The Railsplitters travel to Rochester (Rochester, IL) to play the Rockets in a non-league contest on Friday, May 6. The Rockets come into the contest with a record of 10-8. Rochester won 16-6 in their recent league contest against Lanphier (Springfield, IL)
In their next game, the Hawks play the Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL) in a Illini Prairie contest, on Thursday, May 5. Prairie Central will attempt to move on its 4-16 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 19-4 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Bloomington (Bloomington, IL).
