Nevada High School Softball - Mineral County topped by Pershing County

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Mineral County Serpents (Hawthorne, NV), by a margin of 19-8.

With the triumph, Pershing County moves its record to 20-5 on the year. The Mustangs host Non Varsity Opponent (, ) to play the in a non-league contest on Wednesday, May 4. The come into the contest with a record of 52-75.

In their next game, the Serpents play the Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV) in a 1A Northern contest, on Saturday, May 7. Mineral County will attempt to move on its 5-16 season record. The Muckers come into the contest with a 11-15 record after their 20-8 non-league loss to Portola (Portola, CA).
