With the win, Central upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Tigers host St. Pius X (Festus, MO) to battle the Lancers in a non-league test on Saturday, May 6. The Lancers come into the test with a record of 13-7. St. Pius X won 8-4 in their recent non-league test against Perryville (Perryville, MO)

With the defeat, DeSoto falls to 10-8 on the season. The Dragons host Festus (Festus, MO) to play the Tigers in a Class 5 District 1 battle on Thursday, May 4. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 15-7.
