Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA), 8-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Commodores face the Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 4. Maury will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Phantoms enter the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 7-0 league loss to Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA).

The Greyhounds now have a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Manor for a Eastern challenge on Wednesday, May 10.
