Minooka Indians (Minooka, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), 17-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Rock Island for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. Minooka will face a Rocks squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Orion (Orion, IL). The Rocks record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Joliet Central falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Steelmen host Oswego (Oswego, IL) to face the Panthers in a challenge on Thursday, May 4. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 18-2. Oswego won 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL)
