Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Conner Cougars (Hebron, KY) and the visiting Grant County Braves (Dry Ridge, KY), witnessed Conner's softball squad prevail over Grant County by a count of 13-2.

The Cougars now sport a 9-14 record. They play next when they travel to Harrison County for a non-league match on Friday, May 5. Conner will meet a Thorobreds squad coming off a 16-1 non-league win over Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY). The Thorobreds record now stands at 18-6.

With the loss, Grant County moves to 8-9 on the season. The Braves host Notre Dame Academy (Park Hills, KY) to meet the Pandas in a non-league match on Thursday, May 4. The Pandas go into the match with a record of 7-4. Notre Dame Academy lost 13-3 in their recent non-league match against Ryle (Union, KY)
