The Pinckneyville Panthers routed the visiting Frankfort Redbirds softball squad by a final score of 12-2 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Panthers (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Knights go into the non-league battle with a 17-2 record. In their last battle, Mater Dei topped Effingham (Effingham, IL), 5-4, in a non-league battle.
The Redbirds now possess a 12-8 record. They play next when they host DuQuoin for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 4. Frankfort will meet a Indians squad coming off a 12-4 non-league loss to Red Bud (Red Bud, IL). The Indians record now stands at 9-15.
