Maine High School Softball - George Stevens Academy gets by Mount Desert Island

The George Stevens Academy Eagles nipped the visiting Mount Desert Island Trojans softball squad by a final score of 6-5 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Eagles (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME). The Lynx go into the Class C North battle with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, Mattanawcook held off Greater Houlton Christian Academy (Houlton, ME), 10-0, in a non-league battle.
The Trojans now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Ellsworth for a Class B North battle on Thursday, May 4. Mount Desert Island will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Bucksport (Bucksport, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.
