Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Kennedy Eagles (Waterbury, CT), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Greyhounds now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilby for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. Naugatuck will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 19-0 non-league loss to Seymour (Seymour, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-11.

With the loss, Kennedy falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Eagles host Watertown (Watertown, CT) to battle the Indians in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass challenge on Thursday, May 4. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. Watertown lost 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Wolcott (Wolcott, CT)
