Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Sehome Mariners (Bellingham, WA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they host Garfield for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. Mount Vernon will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-5 league loss to West Seattle (Seattle, WA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Sehome falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Mariners host Mt. Baker (Deming, WA) to face the Mountaineers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Friday, May 5. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Mt. Baker lost 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Lynden (Lynden, WA)
