The Appleton City Bulldogs the visiting Sherwood Marksmen baseball team by a tally of 7-2 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now hold a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kingsville for a non-league bout on Monday, May 6.
Next, the Marksmen face the Adrian Blackhawks (Adrian, MO) in a Class 3 District 14 bout, on Saturday, May 4. Sherwood will attempt to advance on its 4-18 season record. The Blackhawks enter the bout with a 10-9 record after their 11-4 non-league win over El Dorado Springs (El Dorado Springs, MO).
