In Friday's non-league game, the host Benet Academy Redwings baseball team scored a tight 8-7 victory over the Naperville Central Redhawks.
The Redwings (14-8) will now prepare for their game against Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL). The Dons go into the East Suburban Catholic game with a 11-13 record. In their last game, Niles Notre Dame was edged by New Trier (Winnetka, IL), 11-2, in a non-league game.
The Redhawks (9-11) will now prepare for their game against Lyons (LaGrange, IL). The Lions go into the non-league game with a 18-4 record. In their last game, Lyons tipped Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL), 5-3, in a league game.
