Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) boosters went home happy Friday as they saw their baseball squad beat the visiting Lisbon Greyhounds (Lisbon Falls, ME), 8-0 in a league battle.

Coming up next, the Black Bears play the Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME) in a Class C South battle, on Monday, May 6. Maranacook will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Seagulls enter the battle with a 2-4 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Telstar (Bethel, ME).

The Greyhounds now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Hall-Dale for a Class C South battle on Saturday, May 4. Lisbon will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-5 non-league win over Waterville (Waterville, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-2.
