The Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL) baseball the visiting Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs (Mahomet, IL), 6-2 in Friday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Sages play the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) in a Illini Prairie contest, on Monday, May 6. Monticello will attempt to better on its 27-2 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 28-2 record after their 15-5 non-league win over Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL).

The Bulldogs now sport a 17-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mattoon for a Apollo contest on Saturday, May 4. Mahomet-Seymour will play a Greenwave squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Rantoul (Rantoul, IL). The Greenwave record now stands at 14-12.
