The Nokomis Warriors baseball team (Newport, ME), was overwhelmed 17-5 in Friday's non-league outing with the visiting Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME)
The Eagles now hold a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brewer for a Class A North outing on Monday, May 6. Messalonskee will confront a Witches team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Hampden (Hampden, ME). The Witches record now stands at 2-5.
Next, the Warriors confront the Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME) in a Class B North outing, on Monday, May 6. Nokomis will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers go into the outing with a 3-5 record after their 11-6 league loss to Belfast (Belfast, ME).
