The Prairie Central Hawks baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting St. Thomas More Sabers to 2 in the Hawks league victory on Friday.

The Hawks (5-17) will now prepare for their match against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Eagles go into the non-league challenge with a 18-5 record. In their last challenge, Dunlap was overwhelmed by Washington (Washington, IL), 9-5, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, St. Thomas More falls to 9-15 on the season. The Sabers travel to Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL) to encounter the Grey Ghosts in a Illini Prairie challenge on Saturday, May 4. The Grey Ghosts come into the challenge with a record of 16-9. Illinois Valley Central won 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Bede (Peru, IL)
