The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), saw East Mecklenburg's soccer squad knock off Piedmont by a margin of 3-1.

The Eagles now sport a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Butler for a Southwestern 4A test on Tuesday, May 7. East Mecklenburg will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-8.

With the loss, Piedmont drops to 16-4 on the season. The Panthers host West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to encounter the Colts in a Rocky River 2A/3A test on Tuesday, May 7. The Colts come into the test with a record of 12-4. West Stanly won 10-1 in their recent league test against Anson (Wadesboro, NC)
