In Friday's non-league test, the host Mt. Blue Cougars lacrosse squad scored a tight 7-3 victory over the Hampden Broncos.

The Cougars now have a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Messalonskee for a Class B test on Monday, May 6. Mt. Blue will face a Eagles squad coming off a 18-11 non-league loss to Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 3-2.

In their next game, the Broncos face the Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, May 7. Hampden will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Huskies come into the test with a 1-5 record after their 16-5 league loss to Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME).
