Berlin Mountaineers (Berlin, NH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Winnisquam Bears (Tilton, NH), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Mountaineers now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host White Mountains for a Division III challenge on Tuesday, May 7.

With the loss, Winnisquam falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Belmont (Belmont, NH) to battle the Red Raiders in a Division III challenge on Monday, May 6. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 4-4.
