Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Hilanders now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nyssa for a challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Burns will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-8 league win over Riverside (Boardman, OR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, McLoughlin falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to La Grande (La Grande, OR) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 8-1. La Grande won 9-1 in their recent league challenge against Ontario (Ontario, OR)
