Reynolds Raiders (Greenville, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Erie Royals (Erie, PA), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they host Lakeview for a District 10 Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Reynolds will battle a Sailors squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Sharpsville (Sharpsville, PA). The Sailors record now stands at 2-9.

With the loss, Erie falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Warren (Warren, PA) to battle the Dragons in a District 10 Region 5 challenge on Monday, May 6. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Warren lost 16-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Elk County Catholic (St. Marys, PA)
